In a volatile industry, with everchanging regulations and energy costs, it’s essential that ASIC/GPU facilities have a secure and efficient solution to relocate their assets with minimal downtime. We understand the industry’s needs and bring over 30 years of experience in global, full-service logistics to provide a complete end-to-end solution for our clients.
In April 2019, China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) labeled Bitcoin mining an “undesirable” industry in its preliminary list of sectors that should be discouraged, restricted, or phrased out by local governments. Some of our existing customers in the ASIC/GPU computer space had a significant amount of hardware infrastructure in China.
Between 2019 and 2020, Kesco was contracted by various ASIC mining companies to coordinate relocating their ASIC mining assets from the Xinjiang province in China. This complicated project lasted over 6 months and involved setting up a security team and coordinating the cross-border movement of miners by truck and rail to sites across Mongolia, Russia, and Europe. USA relocation was facilitated by charter aircraft.
In total, Kesco – with our global partners in Asia – successfully relocated over 250K units.
We’ve also helped several clients avoid rising energy costs and quickly relocate their facilities to areas with cheaper energy infrastructure.
Today we’re proud to handle air & sea freight, domestic trucking, cross-border transportation, customs clearance, and bond services for dozens of clients in the ASIC mining, Data Center Infrastructure, and equipment manufacturing industries. We’re committed to being a key partner for these clients as the industry continues to mature in the coming years.
